Kris Parmelee, President & Founder, Parmelee Consulting Group, specializes in SBIR/STTR preparations and submissions and has worked on over 250 proposals during her tenure. Her proposals have been submitted to all 11 participating federal agencies for a range of SBIR/STTR-related funding opportunities. Her depth of experience in the grant writing field has allowed her to create a highly refined process that provides maximum efficiency and results in quality and competitive proposals.
After more than 19 years as a consultant, Kris has developed long-term relationships with many of her clients. It’s not just about a single project; it’s about creating opportunities for meaningful engagement and growth—for both PCG, Inc. and the client. She works closely with a wide range of small businesses and research institutions, such as Indiana University and Purdue University to support their faculty through the SBIR/STTR process. She reads an average of 25 summary statements per year, which makes her acutely aware of trends and themes among granting agencies and review panels.
In addition to founding Parmelee Consulting Group, Inc. in 2000, Kris founded Lectio in in 2015. Lectio provides assistive technology designed to support individuals with language-related learning disabilities, inspired by her son Sam’s own struggles with dyslexia.
