Mobility/DVT Prophylaxis

The mobilization of hospitalized patients soon after admission has shown demonstrable benefits through a variety of outcomes measures. Unfortunately, many hospitalized patients remain in bed unnecessarily even when they are capable of walking, leading to negative outcomes including thrombosis, muscular and functional decline, pneumonia, delirium and prolonged length of stay. Early mobilization is important all patients, especially post-surgery,  older patients, and patients at risk for with deep vein thrombosis (DVT). 

We are working with Recovery Force LLC to design and test their new Mobile Active Compression (MAC) system.
